What is your favorite paper line? too many to pick from!

Welcome to the Freestyle Challenges!!

This week we are going to start with some very basics and will draw upon them week by week to explore our artsy world.

This week I would love to know....
"What does "Freestyle" mean to you?"

I mean really... What does it mean in your mind? Each and every person has a different approach and idea as to what "Freestyle" is.

Here are a few examples from the DT Girls..

Jackie:

Cindy:

Each work of art is unique! Each challenged the creator yet let them explore their inner voice.

Have FUN with this!!
Enjoy the process!!
Take a leap of faith with yourself and dip the toes outside the box!!

Please be sure to comment on your art as to what "Freestyle" means to you! Pictures are worth 1000+words you know!

I can not wait to see what you come up with!!

What is your favorite paper line? Basic Grey...if I have to choose just one.

I love the layouts Ladies! This was such a fun challenge. For my layout, freestyle means to me "Scrapping Outside The Box" So I tried things I normally never do I use bubble wrap to stamp an image on my base piece of cardstock, and I made a layout with no photo. For me Freestyle means scrapping outside my comfort zone.

What is your favorite paper line? It depends on the day...

Freestyle to me is mixing techniques, photos and supplies to achieve a balanced layout. I think freestyle allows us to try new things and add a touch of "unexpected".

I think that defining freestyle is counterproductive to freestyle! To me, freestyle means just that, being free with your style. Something as simple as trying a new technique or medium (or several!) or to scrap a topic that is totally offbeat and silly or being inspired by something non scrappy related shows that you're not afraid to go outside of what is the "norm" for YOU. I think freestyle means different things to different people.

I can't wait to see everyones creations! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happydance.gif)

What is your favorite paper line? Prima

Freestyle is FREE don to create like you want ..no constraints. I tend to create layouts with a single picture and little to no journaling. So when I do freestyle, I like to change that up. Multiple photos, journaling....

I used Prima papers, Hambly Studios tranparent overlay, Prima flowers, Ranger Stickles and my Cricut for the large flowers in the background. Think outside the box!!

wow, these are amazing LOs...I've always wanted to try the paint circles as in the first
example...I think I'll give that a shot this week...it looks so cool. I'm afraid I don't go
"outside" my comfort zone very often, and something like this challenge would definitely
get me going.

I would define FREESTYLE as carefree, unconventional, bold, experiment and unlimited. And here's my layout to interpret my freestyle. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For me freestyle is an expression of self, enjoying the moment to test the waters and to try something beyond your typical expectations.

Great layouts everyone. I don't consider myself a Freestyle girl, but I have been a little more free than usual since my usual style is very clean lined. You guys have given me great inspiration.

What is your favorite paper line? My Mind's Eye

here is one from me

Freestyle to me is like art - anything goes, anything that makes you happy. The sentence on this page is a quote from my DD, and that is what art is to me, expressing myself, and being with her, helping her express herself, and just being US
